HOW

To apply, just pay the Camp Deposit and fill out the Merit Badge Request Form by the deadline. However, payment is not a guarantee of admission since space is limited at the campsite. Applicants will receive an email about the status of their admission within three weeks.

REFUNDS

If the troop can not accommodate a scout after the deposit has been made, it is returned in full.

If a scout cancels after the deposit is made, things get a little trickier due to policies outside our control. Deposits transferred to the camp are no longer refundable. And any subsequent payments may or may not be partially or fully refundable depending on the time of cancellation. Also, those funds might not be returned until after summer camp is over.

ADULTS

Adults are welcome to join us at summer camp and play a key role delivering our program for the week. We especially need drivers for transporting scouts to and from offsite activities. To participate, fill out the Adult Application by the deadline. Space is limited, so only some applicants may be approved. Applicants will receive an email about the status of their admission within three weeks.

Deadlines

Please make payments and submit paperwork on the following schedule. Unfortunately, due to policies outside our control, excessively late payments may incur an extra fee from the summer camp.

FEBRUARY 1

MARCH 1

MAY 1

  • Camp Remainder Payment *

    • Scout $600

    • Sibling $550 — if more than one scout in family, all are siblings

Merit Badge Requests

There is limited availability of merit badge sessions, so requests can not be guaranteed. And if none of the requests are available for a particular time slot, one will be selected automatically to complete the schedule.

Refer to the Merit Badge Sessions document and fill out the appropriate form depending on your scout. Then either print and bring it to a troop meeting or email to the summer camp primary contact.

HOW TO MAKE REQUESTS

MERIT BADGE SESSIONS

SCOUT IN THE TROOP

CROSSOVER CUB SCOUT

* If your cub scout wishes to use the other form — for those in the troop — reach out to the main contact.

Medical Form

Please print out two copies of the medical form below and get them signed by your physician.

As long as a doctor fills out and signs Part C of the form and it's dated less than 12 months prior to the first day of camp, there is no need to schedule or wait for a physical.

Bring the documents to a troop meeting or deliver directly to the medical forms contact.

Food Allergies and Dietary Needs

Please complete the following form if your scout has any notable food allergies or special dietary needs.

Either print out and bring to a troop meeting or email to the summer camp main contact.

Offsite Activities

The troop periodically leaves camp for offsite activities like whitewater rafting, horseback riding, BBQ dinners and even a rodeo.

All scouts must have the following waivers signed in order to participate.

Transportation

The troop does not provide transportation to and from summer camp. Scouts are encouraged to carpool with friends or neighbors, if possible.

Transportation is provided during the week for all scouts to and from offsite activities. And we need adult volunteers at summer camp to help provide this service. Anyone interested should complete the Adult Application by the deadline.

Packing List

Do not pack cotton clothing!

This part of New York can sometimes get cool and rainy. And in these conditions, cotton does not dry well or even at all. Scouts wearing wet clothing for prolonged periods may get sick and be sent home, or worse, suffer hypothermia.

Play it safe and pack synthetic fabrics.
